Staff due to work on the Jack Bates offshore drill rig are well on their way to being fighting fit, now that they have participated in WFR’s fatigue management based ‘Fit 4 Work’ workshop as part of their two day Santos rig induction. The ‘Fit 4 Work’ presentation was delivered to over 380 Santos, Transocean and Total staff.
Santos EHS advisor Steve Pearce, said the training and the response from the participants was fantastic.
“The sessions were engaging, informative and interactive. The information on workplace fatigue provided attendees with valuable information in understanding the broad issues, as well as assisting them in self assessing those things within their control. Feedback from our staff about the sessions was positive."
The ‘Fit 4 Work’ presentation served as an introduction for The Jack Bates crew on key health topics including alertness, sleep, drugs and alcohol, and food for energy. They will now receive further health, wellness, and injury prevention services when WFR also delivers the Healthy Lifestyle Program on the rig later this year.
WFR have been working with Transocean since 2010 providing the Healthy Lifestyle Program on their other WA offshore drilling facilities, including the Legend and Deepwater Frontier.
